The Development And Decision Research Of Flower And Plants Industry In Wenjiang District Of Chengdu

With the development of science and technology and economical globalization, rapid changes have taken place in the gardening industry both at home and abroad. As Wenjiang District of Chengdu is known as "The Hometown of Flowers and Trees in Western Sichuan Plain" , how it shall keep its advantages and boost the development of the gardening industry further, especially in the process of the urbanization of Chengdu City, is a subject worthy of detailed study.The author of this paper firstly introduces the new trend of the development of the international gardening industry and the characteristics of the development of the domestic and Sichuan gardening industry; secondly the author collects a lot of information on general situation and the existing problems of Wenjiang gardening industry from individual interviews with the representatives of different fields; then, the author carries out questionnaire survey among 220 gardening enterprises and flower farmers in the town of Hesheng which is one of the main gardening industry towns in Wenjiang and concludes its developing features and problems through the analysis on the investigation results, on the basis of which, the author sums up the development strategy of Wenjiang gardening industry by means of SWOT matrix analysis. At last, combined with the real situation and problems found in the survey, the author puts forward new ideas and countermeasures for developing the gardening industry in Wenjiang District, including improving overall planning, enhancing fund and policy supporting; integrating the industrial resources to form a strong industrial center; constructing standardization system to promote flower standardized production and industrial upgrading; facilitating the transition of the gardening industry from agriculture to the tertiary industry; establishing sales network with modern logistics; implementing the strategy of popular science, popularizing key technology and practical techniques, enhancing the ability of independent innovation and raising the scientific and technical content; implementing brand strategy, protecting the gardening property rights, developing "three Centers" of the gardening industry and establishing "Western Flower Capital" , all of which are of practical significance and available value to the development of Wenjiang gardening industry.
