Research Of ERP System Construction & Application Of Jiuquan Steel Corporation

Along with the fast expansion in productivity and continuous investment in new projects in the passed 10 years, the disadvantages of the currently-used management system in Jiuquan Steel Corporation(So called Jiugang in the following parts) arise more and more frequently.In 2004, the conflict caused by ineffective management was especially evident. To build up ERP system-oriented information technology project is one of most effective managing methods. Thus, the implementation of ERP system is imperative under the situation. This paper, based on the analysis of establishment and application of Jiugang ERP system, is searching for the key point of ERP system implementation.ERP system Implementation is a very complicated complex. Many companies didn't achieve expected goal, instead, they got into troubles. This paper is a study in the object of Jiugang ERP system implementation,innovation and management. In terms of research methods, this paper employed case study method in establishment, implementation and application; meanwhile, this paper combined the theories with Jiugang current situation and employed comparative analysis, quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis, etc. Further more,this paper gave attention to both macro and micro aspects, employed questionnaire survey in order to get sufficient materials. Based on those materials, this paper firstly pointed out the necessity of executing ERP system through environment analysis and status qua analysis; secondly, this paper designed the detailed procedures and blue print of Jiugang ERP system implementation according to project management method and company's situation ; Thirdly, this paper stated the key sections of ERP project implementation by combining with project implementation procedures. At last, based on the detailed implementation blue print of Jiugang ERP system, this paper conducted further analysis on the aspects of successful ERP project. Through the research on the improvement of ERP implementation and application, the paper demonstrated the effective combination of new management concepts and modern management methods, so as to push management innovation in term of IT.Through the analysis of Jiugang ERP system, the author thought that ERP system should be integrated with management innovation, which is no only the combination of ERP and MES, but also the trend of IT development for those steel companies.This paper fished out a ERP implementation module that can be learned by all steel companies through the research on the experience of ERP system establishment and the analysis of application, which is the also the practical significance of this paper.
