The Research On Quality Control Of Project Under Design-Build Contract

Design - Building (D/B) delivery method is a popular models on the international. At the same time, as construction projects are vigorously promoted,this kind of contracting model begins to emerge in China. In recent years, as there are more and more contracted projects in the domestic market of construction, the projects using D/B delivery method are also gradually emerging. D/B delivery method refers to the project that the owners deliver the design and construction of the project to a design or construction enterprise only with a single contract so that it integrates design with construction from the early phase of the project. In this way, it will give full play to the advantages of both design and construction, improving the economy of the project as well as speeding up the completion of the project progress.The owners using D/B delivery method will be less involved in the process of project. Compared with the traditional contracting model, D/B delivery method not only lacks checking and comparing, but also lacks the integrated contract documents used to detect and evaluate the actual performance of the contractor. Based on the characteristics of D/B delivery method,.This paper intends to use the QFD method, which will convert the owners'demands into technical parameters of the project, to ensure the quality objectives that owners demand.The method of QFD introduced by this paper, which directly converts owners'demands into the technical requirements for contractors, is practical and feasible. It will help improve the project management (capability) of domestic enterprises.
