Relatively speaking, the prominent character of the road freight industry of Shandong Province is the contradiction between supply and demand structure. There is still a noticeable gap in the large-scale operation, intensive management, operational mode and network operations between Shandong enterprises and the advanced enterprises at home and abroad. The scale of enterprises is extremely small and the extensive mode of operation is still not been radically ameliorated while transport organization need to be further innovated.The semi-trailer swap transportation is an advanced form of organization in the carriage of goods which is widely used in transportation overseas; specifically refer to an organizational form that a tractor trailer in accordance with the needs of non-specific trailer carriage. The semi-trailer swap transportation plays an important role in lowering transportation costs and improving transport efficiency as well as cost-effectiveness that make it an important direction of development of the road freight and transport logistics industry in Shandong Province.Shandong is a large province achieves economic changes to the economically strong province which provides a favorable external market environment to carry out the semi-trailer swap transportation. The rapid development of the road transport infrastructure of Shandong Province and the High-grade highway network was basically completed create a benign external conditions. On the semi-trailer swap transportation in terms of internal conditions, existing modern logistics enterprises and freight companies have begun to take shape and can fully meet the semi-trailer swap transportation's organization, operation and management required.
