The development of the domestic economy will be impacted in the global economy with the increasingly open China's economy. With the deepening of China's economic reforms and the development of global economic integration, more development opportunities bring to the China's air transport industry, and at the same time, it would also bring more and more competitions."The fittest Survival, and the weak elimination", the Chinese airline's future and the fate of each will depend on the innovation and extracting the core competitiveness of each airline in the new competitive environment. In the new market environment, in order to meet the challenges and access to the survival and development, one of the key points for the china domestic airlines is able to seize the development opportunity, to develop correct competition strategies, to choose the path of self-development.Purposes:Through a comparative analysis of competeti -veness between the China Southern Airlines and other airlines, to find out a best way to enhance the further core competitiveness strategies and programs.Methods : A literature survey method is applied in the study of the characteristics of the domestic civil aviation, airline status; the Social Survey and Comparative Analysis are applied in the comparative study between the China Southern Airlines and other airlines; conclusion and summing-up are applied in the study of the core competitiveness in China Southern Airlines.The contents and outcome:First of all, pointing out that China's airlines currently the main problems are Management decision-making, team communication and collaboration, Web site building and so on, basing on the domestic and international research of the core competitiveness, and the characteristics of China's civil aviation industry. Then, the competitiveness index system of the China Southern will be pointed out as an example after a comparative analysis of domestic and foreign airlines, including: indicators of safety management systems, flight times and route planning system, human resources planning and development, performance targets, financial security, operational efficiency, the scale of production and operation, alliance management capability, the learning ability, brand management capacity. Ultimately, comes out the five key points, including flight time planning and route planning systems, performance targets, brand management capacity, operational efficiency and human resources planning and development. It is also an important innovation of this article.Finally, six key methods are pointed out to enhance the core competitiveness of China Southern airlines, including:1. The establishment of a suitable flights route network and high-quality flight reliability2. The development of core services and depth of product marketing3. To carry out appropriate market positioning and the development of an accurate business strategy4. Based on the resources advantages to enhance the core capacity5. The excellent human resources planning and development.6. The creation of outstanding industry culture.The meaning and value:With the integration of the world economy and the acceleration of the "open skies", the China's civil aviation transport industry faces enormous challenges. More and more foreign airlines will enter to China Air transport market after opening up; the competition will become more intense. To build up their own core competitiveness has become a top priority.As one of the larger airlines, China Southern Airlines is facing of increasingly fierce competition. Refining their own core competitiveness is the key point to obtain the survival and development. Therefore, the main significance of this study embodied in the following two points:1.The paper is very important for China Southern Airlines itself.2. It will also bring some hints to other airlines in China on how to play their own advantages, seize the core competitiveness, overcome the disadvantages, and building up development strategies per the respective characteristics.
