The Impact Of Corporate Social Capital On Innovation

From three dimensions of corporate social capital, the mechanism of internal and exterior corporate social capitals' impact on technological innovation is analyzed in this work, by introducing the theory of absorptive capacity. The theoretical framework is developed to deduce the relationship among corporate social capital, absorptive capacity and innovative performance. Based on the questionnaire, the impact of corporate social capital on technological innovation is studied, by using factor analysis and OLS(ordinary least square).The research results show: without considering absorptive capacity,the internal social capital is positive to innovative capacity, but the vertical social capital, horizontal social capital, social capital of social relation of corporate aren't significantly positive to innovative capacity ; the internal social capital positively affect innovative capacity by improving the capacity of the knowledge transfer of absorptive capacity;the horizontal social capital, social capitalof social relation of corporate positively affect innovative capacity by improving the capacity of the knowledge acquirement of absorptive capacity;the absorptive capacity is the intermediary. In order to improve innovative capacity, it is proposed that the internal social capital, vertical social capital, horizontal social capital, social capitalof social relation of corporate should be evenly increased with the objective of acquiring knowledge by the outside social capital of the corporate and transferring and exploiting knowledge by the internal social capital of the corporate.
