A Study On The Theme Parks In The Pearl River Delta Based On Niche Theory

Niche is the unit's position, relation and function in the surroundings.Considering spatiality of visitor source, niche theory is introduced into this thesis. And then, according to the theory we analysis the the competetion status and direction of the theme parks in the Pearl River Delta. This research is valuable for investment and operation of theme parks in the Pearl River Delta and for referance of other theme parks cluster in domestic and overseas developing countries.concretely, four aspects are studied.Firstly, on the basis of reviews of correlative research on niche and theme park and comparative research of biology niche and enterprise niche, individual niche and cluster niche, we get the conclusion: niche theory is suitable for regional theme park research.Secondly, by analysing the influencing factors of development of theme park, we construct the structure of surroundongs-resources-capabilities,and get the index system of theme park inche evaluation. And then, by summarizing causes of theme parks' failure of the Pearl River Delta during 1999-2005, we construct the structure of rigion-industry-enterprise, and revise index system mentioned above.Thirdly, according to Factor Analysis, we get 5 main components and compute every component's factor score.Finally, we get our views, that is pyramidal competition pattern of theme parks in the Pearl River Delta is presented and target marker position of part of the theme parks is dissimilar.
