Study On Tourism Development Of National Industrial And Commerical Heritage In Wuxi City

With the booming development of industrial heritage tourism and increasing awareness on the value of industrial and commercial heritage, the development and protection of industrial and commercial heritage tourism is getting high attention from all walks of life. Seeking suitable tourism development model for industrial and commercial heritage, developing modest tourism under the protection of industrial and commercial heritage to promote local economic prosperity and historical inheritance, has become hot issues during urban planning and tourism development in our country.This paper takes Wuxi City as an example. Firstly, based on the outline of the concept and connotation of industrial heritage and industrial heritage tourism, this paper puts forward and defines the concept and connotation of industrial and commercial heritage and heritage tourism. At the same time on the basis of ideas and articles from both home and abroad, it brings forward the basic thought and framework of this article. Secondly, on the basis of the full investigation of present situation on national industrial and commercial heritage in Wuxi City, a certain universal and targeted evaluation system about industrial and commercial heritage tourism resources is built, applying Delphi method and AHP, and this evaluation system is used to estimate the value as well as the programming terms of industrial and commercial heritage resources in Wuxi City, moreover the paper deeply explores the effect of conducting tourism activities on heritage resources in the view of industrial and commercial enterprises, government departments, communities and tourists.The above analysis shows that the national industrial and commercial heritage in Wuxi city owns higher tourism development value and better conditions for tourism development. Thus, according to tour location theory, growing polar theory, sustainable development theory and strategic management theory,in combine with the status of heritages in Wuxi City, a comprehensive study from the strategic point of view is conducted on tourism developing principles, strategic position, programming mode and tourism products of national industrial and commercial heritages in Wuxi City. What's more, this paper also puts forward six principles of developing tourism,"one-gallery-four-district"layout, four programming models and three-period tourism products, and raise the three major issues which should be paid attention in the process of the development of heritage tourism in Wuxi City from the perspective of management. This provides a reference for Wuxi city even the country's industrial and commercial heritage tourism development.
