As the globalization of the economy and marketing, the exterior environment is becoming more and more complicated, the number of uncertain factors is increasing. Under this circumstance, many enterprises adopt the strategic performance appraisal system, in order to gain a long-term competitive advantage and develop core competence. The strategic performance appraisal system is an importance tool of controlling and executing the enterprise's strategy. The function of this system is realized by many enterprises.The method of how to link the enterprise's strategy with the strategic performance appraisal system is the key of this research. This research uses the PT as its target enterprise. The strategic performance appraisal system is established in PT Corporation. This research provides the way of how to combine the enterprise's strategy with the strategic performance appraisal system. It also has the value of instructing enterprise's development and management.The contents of this research is arranged as following: First of all, I summarize the background, aim and substance of this research ,and introduce the domestic and abroad researches about this subject, at the same time, I make a brief introduction of the contents and methods that used in this research. And then, according to the analysis of traditional performance appraisal system's problems and the relationship between strategy and performance appraisal, the connotation and characteristic of strategic performance appraisal are expounded. As well, the relationship between enterprise's strategy and theories of Balance Scorecard (BSC) and Key Performance Index (KPI) is explained. After that, PT corporation is used as target enterprise, I illustrate the process and indexes of PT's strategic performance appraisal system briefly, then on the basis of concrete process, I expound the result and key of the strategic performance appraisal system which carried out in PT .The suggestion and tactics are recommended by analyzing the result and experience of this system's implementation. Finally, I make a summarization and prospect of the research on strategic performance appraisal.
