In the enterprise interior the top management teams (TMT) is the entire enterprise's core, they represents the entire enterprise's behavior in the enterprise exterior. Their decision leads to the enterprise's prosperity or decline, their execution affects enterprise's destiny. Standing up on a status with long views, the top management teams is responsible for the management decision of the entire organization; therefore the team performance affects the organizational performance. It is imperative to strengthen the research of the top management teams and the enterprise performance. The research that enhances construction of the top management teams is a long-term development and strategic significance topic. This research takes state-owned enterprise in China as research objects to discover the dimensions of the TMT and takes enterprise performance as a variable to discover the TMT influence upon enterprise performance. This paper aims to provide theoretical guidance and measurement instrument for construction of the TMT of state-owned enterprise in China, as well as enterprise can improve performance management and promote the level of performance according to the conclusions of this paper.The are the basis of this paper. The scale is revised through exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, reliability test and validity test. A four-dimension model of the TMT of state-owned enterprise is discovered, including outstanding achievement, solidarity, political diathesis and working style. Enterprise performance is chosen as a variable to show the TMT's influence on enterprise. The scale of enterprise performance is based on the theory of balance score card. The research data is collected from the enterprises in south-west of China. The causal relationship between the TMT and enterprise performance was found by using structural equation model.This paper conducts a preliminary exploration in the TMT of state-owned enterprise in China, and puts a four-dimensional structural TMT Model, which makes some contribution to the improvement of state-owned enterprise. It is hoped that we can enhance the management level of the TMT and improve the enterprise performance.
