| FDI has been developing at a high speed in China sinceworld. FDI has experienced from the small-amounted heavily-restricted stage to the all-orientations, multiple-levelsChina's opening to the narrow-ranged and broad-fields stage. As one of the most important drives, foreign direct investment(FDI) has been paid more and more attention for its effects on constructing the technological innovation capability and sustainable strategic competitiveness in the less developed countries. With the inflow of FDI in China speeding up, it is an important issue for the Chinese industries whether they could benefit from foreign advantage technology or not. This article is proposed to answer the following questions:How to make full use of FDI to boost technology Innovation? Why is the unapparent effect that FDI propels technology innovation in our country and what is the optimal decision toward this problem?This article works out the affiliate effect on the basis of the theory of FDI and technology innovation, econometrics and macro-economics, We select 28 industries in China from year 2000 to 2005 and our research focus on FDI, Innovative effect, Innovative input and technology denseness.Statistics show that FDI has some positive effect on technology innovation in our country, but not the level people has expected. This article gives an analysis of limiting factors and some suggestion for government.Overall, we can improve the development of industry in our country through technology import, based on technology innovation.There is still a long way to go on the road of technology import and technology innovation,and form a benign circulation of "imports research-assimilation and innovation-new product manufacture-market achievement". |
