The Systematic Analysis Of Enterprise Technology Innovation

With the arrival of the era of knowledge economy, the word "innovation" has become an increasingly active vocabulary. More and more countries realize that innovation has become a sign of the era of knowledge economy and the foundation of social development. This is not only the consensus of the global business community and the academic community, but also the key to the economic development of China. Since the reform and opening up, China’s economy has experienced nearly30years of rapid growth. Especially, the rapid development of the third industry make China rank among the world’s major industrial countries and trading power. China has become an important force to push the world economy. However, as a manufacturing power, China is at the bottom of the global value chain. Its industrial innovation capability is weak, and the product technology content and added value is low. So China is in a very passive position in international competition. To change this situation it is necessary to improve the technological innovation capability of Chinese enterprises. So it has important theory value and practical significance to study the main factors affacting technological innovation and realize technology catch-up even surpassing. Based on the perspective of system, This article will examine the main factors influencing the enterprise technology innovation from two aspects of enterprise itself and the external environment. Then we will reveal the differences of different enterprise’s technology innovation behavior and explore effective suggestions to enhance the technological innovation capability and initiatives.Firstly, combined with previous research results this paper will divide the factors which affact our country enterprise’s technological innovation into the enterprise’s own factors and environmental factors. Then this paper makes a qualitative analysis of influence mechanism. And then, by using the intermediate data from2007to2011of China’s industrial sector, the article studies the internal factors which have an impact on technology innovation with Panel Data Model. Based on the definition of patent-intensity in the report of "Intellectual Property Rights and the United States Economy", we divide the industry into three groups of high, medium, low intensive. Finally, in order to study the influence factors which affact the technological innovation roundly, We study the internal factors and external factors influencing the enterprise’s technology innovation, using the hierarchical data of China’s industrial39major categories and under the jurisdiction of the191types in2011and adopting Multilevel Model. Then we make a further exploration and analysis of the way of the external factors affact internal factors.The empirical results show that:the internal factors are the dominant factors influencing technology innovation of enterprises, but the external environment factors can not be ignored. Specifically, internal factors such as R&D personnel, R&D investment, enterprise profit margin, corporate debt, enterprise scale, export factor and background factors such as the government financial support, knowledge spillover, market concentration, the foreign investment participation have a significant influence on the enterprise’s technology innovation. Further study found that, the knowledge spillover and the degree of market competition will weaken the positive correlation between the rate of profit and the technical innovation. Market competition will weaken the negative association between export factors and technical innovation.
