The manufacture as a major industry in the industrial production, makes a hugecontribution to the development of the national economy, but also consumes a large amount ofenergy in the production process, emits large quantities of greenhouse gases. So in the globallow carbon development environment, the development of manufacture will face moredifficulties and challenges. In order to maintain the coordination between economic andenvironment, and reduce the impact of environmental protection to economic development,manufacture need transfer to low-carbon production process. And the low-carbon technologyis the main motivation of the transformation. Through the study for impacts on the innovationcapability of low-carbon technology to the competitiveness of manufacture industry, tounderstand the impact’s process and degree, and to make reasonable suggestions to betterincrease the manufacture competitiveness.Combined qualitative and quantitative research methods, from two aspects of theoreticaland empirical research, the thesis studied the impact of low-carbon technological innovationcapability to the manufacturing industrial competitiveness. Firstly, a comprehensiveunderstanding of the concepts and theories on the innovation capability of low-carbontechnology and the competitiveness of manufacture industry, made a thorough foundation forthe full research. Secondly, on the basis of theories, to analyze impact on the innovationcapability of low-carbon technology to the competitiveness of manufacture industry.Respectively, to analyze the impact of low-carbon technological innovation capability to threecomponents of the manufacturing industrial competitiveness, and based on the mediatingvariables, combined the related research’s success build the conceptual model for the impacton the innovation capability of low-carbon technology to the competitiveness of manufactureindustry. Moreover, based on the conceptual model, made the empirical studies. ThroughDEA-Malmquist method and factor analysis method to measure the manufacture’scompetitiveness and low-carbon technological innovative ability, then use the variableintercept fixed effects panel data model based on a conceptual model to make regressionanalysis verifying the correctness of theoretical research. And the empirical results reflect theimpact degree of low-carbon technology innovation ability the manufacturing industrial competitiveness. Finally, on the basis of theoretical and empirical research to make reasonablesuggestions.
