The agriculture area has always been the very crucial for cooperation and exchanges between China and ASEAN. For the sake of the advantages complementary in trade relationships, the implementation of Early Harvest Program will enhance the competitiveness of the agricultural products of the two parties. As we all know, China and ASEAN have been traditionally a large agricultural religions. Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia, which three consist of more than 75% of the export volume of agriculture, are selected as the represents of ASEAN. The paper firstly explains the current trade situation of Sino-ASEAN agricultural products, and tells that China's import volume is much more than the export volume to the ASEAN.China and ASEAN are in the same level and stage of economic development, and both of their agricultural products are exported to Japan, South Korea and other developed countries in the west, so that there maybe some competition between the two sides. But this paper indicates that as China lies in the temperate zone while the ASEAN lies in the tropics, their advantages in agricultural products are different.Based on the Comparative Advantage Theory and the Intra-Industry Trade Theory, the paper use RCA index and G-L index to research and testify that the Sino-ASEAN trade structure of agricultural products are mainly complementary. This paper concerns the competitive agricultural products in China and ASEAN. The paper's research results indicate that: under the regional economic cooperation background, the Sino-ASEAN's trade structure of agricultural products can mainly satisfy mutual needs. In the end the paper suggest that the Chinese government should try to find some solutions to promote the agricultural trade with ASEAN.
