Agriculture has always shared an important position in the economy of Thailand and other ASEAN countries. Since Thailand signed ASEAN Free Trade Agreement(AFTA) with ASEAN countries, trade cooperation has maintained a sustained and fast growth between both sides, including: intra-ASEAN trade in agricultural products is $ 3500 million in 2013. And the two both belong to resource-intensive and laborintensive export oriented countries and as they are almost at the same development stage, there still exists vigorous competition in the international markets among them on the production and export of agricultural products.Based on the study of international trade theory, the thesis firstly makes a preliminary summary towards the entire export structure of Thailand’s agricultural products and the development status of agricultural products exported from Thailand to ASEAN by using descriptive analysis method. Then by adopting three kinds of quantitative analysis methods including market share analysis, trade competitiveness and RCA index, the thesis quantitatively evaluates the export competitiveness of Thailand’s agriculture products, including natural rubber, rice, corn, fruits and cassava products, in ASEAN markets to show the comparative advantage of Thailand agriculture products in ASEAN markets. The study shows that Thailand agriculture products, including natural rubber, rice, corn, fruits and cassava products have obvious comparative advantage in ASEAN markets and have strong market competition. With the increase of the market demand, the international competiveness is bound to be heating up, especially when confronting Vietnam and Indonesia these two tough competitors. At present, agriculture products of Vietnam and Indonesia have great potentialities, which will directly threaten Thailand’s top share of ASEAN markets. Thus, Thailand must take effective strategies to maintain its market shares and competiveness in ASEAN markets.
