Enterprises should undertake much more social responsibility besides "maximizing shareholders' benefits", which has already been recognized. And employees are considered as the most important ones of enterprises' stakeholders, thus the fundamentality is that how enterprises fulfill their social responsibility toward employees.Chinese private economy is developing rapidly, and the labor relation problems in private economy are much more concerned day by day. The implementation of Labor Contract Law, which has involved high arguments, is a need to legally ensure that enterprises undertake social responsibility toward employees. The scope of the thesis is to analyze the labor relation issues in Chinese private enterprises from the perspective of corporate social responsibility, and argue that it is premier for the private enterprises to undertake social responsibility and the fundamentality is to fulfill legal responsibility toward laborers, which was defined by Labor Contract Law and other similar laws and regulations.The whole thesis is arranged as following:The first part is to summarize CSR theories and practices. It introduces the origin and development of CSR thought, as well as the integration between stakeholder theory and CSR. Meanwhile it analyses the evolvement and status quo of CSR thought in our country.The second part is to introduce and analyze CSR and labor relations. It highlights to introduce relationship among international labor standards, SA8000 standards and the protection of laborers' rights and interests.The third part is to analyze the main problems of labor relations in Chinese private enterprises and what causes these problems.The fourth part is to argue what Labor Contract Law takes impacts on labor relationship in private enterprises. It highlights the analysis of the Law's legislation backgrounds, principles, values and how it affects labor relations. The final part is to put forward that private enterprises should fulfill social responsibility toward employees and build a harmonious labor relation. First of all, enterprises should fulfill their legal obligations to employees, guarantee employee's legal rights and interests. Secondly, enterprises should encourage employees' involvement, thus improve corporate governance and management. At last, enterprises should advocate "human-oriented" concept and build a modern human resources management system.
