As the development of national economy and the revitalization of manufacturing in China especially the revival of the old industrial base in the Northeast, the multi-specification and small-batch production mode has become the main gradually. This trend leads to traditional quality control method unavailable. Focus on the problems mentioned above, quality control method of multi-specification and small-batch production mode based on the present situation of motor manufacturing, set three-phase induction motor as an example, has been researched in this paper.Products comparability exists in multi-specification and small-batch production widely. This provides the feasibility of applying GT from product design to group production. The products comparability and the use of GT bring the comparability of quality variance, which is the base of quality control with GT.SDBM coding system which is adapted to Motor manufacturing has been adopted to code the parts of motor. Correlation degree and distance used to comprehensively analyze the relation of parts of motors has been investigated after analyzing the existing method. It is showed that the new method is convenient and effective to use, especially for computer identification. Furthermore, the statistical method has been used to standardize the sample data which becomes the important basic of quality control chart.In order to solve product quality control problems better with motor manufacturing in multi-specification and small-batch production, the quality control chart of variable sample size and sampling intervals Q (VSSIQ) which combined Q control charts with variable sample size and variable sampling intervals technologies is established on the basic idea of variable sampling intervals (VSI) control chart in this paper. Assuming that the amount of time the process in control has negative exponential distribution, the amended average time of signal (AATS) and the average number of samples size (ANSS) can be calculated with Markov Chain model. The result is average chain length parameters of Variable Sample Size and Sampling Intervals Q control chart. Combining with an instance, VSSIQ control chart is compared with conventional chart and VSIQ chart. The result indicates that VSSIQ control chart can be used to control process well. Furthermore, it may be used to quickly discover variation and effectively diminish defective unit when mean shifts occurs. Compared with FSSI and VSIQ control chart, the efficiency of VSSIQ is improved by 14 times and 1.1 times.Although this paper researches on the motor manufacturing, the method and idea analyzing problems have certain references significance for the electric motor manufacturing enterprise, even for other kind of production manufacturing enterprise in quality control.
