On The Problem And Solution Of Curriculum Setting To Major Of Convention-Exhibition Economy And Administration

China has been an important country in the field of convention and exhibition. Exhibition industry is now becoming a promising one in the third industry.It develops rapidly with an annual average growth rate of 20%after China's entry to WTO and there is still enormous development potential and space.Due to that,massive high quality talented persons are needed,while some contradictions are becoming increasingly acute, such as:talented persons' development lagging behind the expanding demand for them day by day,imperfect development of discipline,immaturity of the specialty building, and the tommyrot of curriculum setting.Therefore,how to cultivate professional talent that more fits in with the needs of the society becomes urgent research topic.With the investigation methods of literature,interview,observation,the problem of curriculum setting in 10 colleges in which there are major of convention-exhibition economy and administration is studied in the present thesis.The author understands the current situation of study on the curriculum setting to the major of convention-exhibition economy and administration at home and abroad through looking up literature, discovers the existing problem,determines the research topic,scope and focus of study and theoretical basis.Through looking up some colleges' curriculum plan materials, cultivation target,subject content and structure of major of convention- exhibition economy and administration are analyzed comparatively.Based on the above,the author with the investigation methods of interview and observation attempts to discover the existing problem and the realistic base.Finally the idea "3 platforms and 3 stages modules" of curriculum setting model is proposed in the principles of stressing basis. Some suggestions are given on the following aspects:The exact location of talent training target,the preparation for curriculum setting,the implementation of the curriculum setting approach,the establishment and the effective implementation of curriculum evaluation system.More attentions are also paid on the curriculum setting of general education as well as the construction of school hardware and teacher training. The author hopes to offer reference to reform of curriculum setting to major of convention-exhibition economy and administration.
