The Introduction Of Collaborative Performance And Empirical Research On Its Influences On Supply Chain Performance In Electronic Industry

The worldwide economic situation has undergone great changes with the development of environment, competition and management. There is a gradual shift from the competition between enterprises to the one between supply chains. Electronic industry relies even more heavily on supply chain management due to the remarkable features of its products. The measurement of supply chain performance in this field is of major importance. A real case of one electronic company indicates that the noted financial and operational indexes are far from adequate in measuring the supply chain performance. Hence , collaborative performance has been introduced into the model of supply chain performance measurement in order to figure out the answers to the following problems: (1) the determining factors of supply chain collaborative performance in electronic industry; (2) how those factors play a role in the supply chain financial and operational performance; (3)introduce collaborative performance to supply chain measurement system for further improvement.Based on the paper research together with the onsite visits and interviews to quite a lot of electronic enterprises, 9 key factors which influence on the collaborative performance have been extracted and been classified to 3 dimensions as collaborative intensity of business, supply chain partnership management and collaborative culture. A supply chain performance measurement model including collaborative performance has been initially established according to those dimensions and factors.What comes on next is to design the questionnaire on the basis of the model then and to send it to electronic enterprises on a large scale. Through the data collection and processing, the original model has been modified and improved. Also, statistical analysis and structural equation modeling have been used to explain the model and every influencing factors.On the basis of theories,empirical research and data analysis, the principle conclusions are as following:(1)how the 9 key factors influence collaborative performance and add collaborative performance into the supply chain performance measurement model; (2)collaborative performance has significant effects on supply chain financial and operational performance;(3)set up a complete questionnaire and measurement system of supply chain performance for electronics industry.
