Study On Assessment Of Core Competence Of Construction Enterprises With AHP Model

Core competence of enterprises not only determines development direction and operation profits of enterprises but also determines ability of survival and sustained development of enterprises. To be noticed in national construction market, construction enterprises in our country should enhance core competence of enterprises. In this dissertation, core competence of enterprises is brought into construction enterprises of our country. With AHP model, core competence of construction enterprises is assessed, which can make allocation of resources and core competence of construction enterprises optimized and enhanced. The following work is carried out in this dissertation: (Ⅰ) Operation course and constitution of core competence of construction enterprises are analyzed, and assessment index system of core competence of construction enterprises is established, concluding three first-level indexes(market controlling, innovation of technology, management ability) and fifteen second-level indexes(turnover rate of total assets, debt rate of assets, quick-acting rate, earning rate of net assets, market share rate, earning rate of technology investment, rate of average-technology equipment, investment rate of information technology, tender rate, construction quality rate, whole labor productivity, average operation efficiency, aggregate force, skilled degree of members' technology and rate of dedication to the society). (Ⅱ) By comparison of merits and drawbacks of five comprehensive assessment models such as AHP model, major-constitute analytic model, data-envelope analytic model, cluster analytic model and checking-table model and combining with characteristics of assessment of core competence of construction enterprises, AHP model is chosen as assessment model of core competence of construction enterprises. (Ⅲ) Direct obtaining method, calculated analytic method, investigating and consulting method are used to collect data of assessment indexes of core competence of actual construction enterprise, index weights of AHP model are defined, and final score of core competence of this construction enterprises is obtained. (Ⅳ) Assessment results of core competence of this construction enterprise are concluded, which is uniformed with actual conditions of this construction enterprise. Feasibility and validity of assessment of core competence of construction enterprises with AHP is proved at the same time. Moreover, basing on the assessment results and combing with analysis of states of itself, structural adjusting advice on the following four aspects: engineering construction, investment business, advanced manufacture business and modern engineering service is provided for cultivation and advancement of core competence of this construction enterprise.
