| The optimization of regional spatial structure maintains the theme of regional development. They keep close relations with each other, namely the regional development drives the evolution of regional spatial structure while the latter motivates the former. Since the construction of the Three Gorges Dam, the Three Gorges Reservoir area has made rapid progress in its urbanization process, together with regional spatial structure. Led by the relevant theories of regional development and spatial structure and combined with interrelation between the former two factors as well as the documents and experience at home and abroad and also site investigation, this paper analyzes the evolvement of urbanization and spatial structure in the Three Gorges Reservoir area (Chongqing section) by applying scientific methods, and then tailors modes for the regional spatial structure optimization in this area and also related measures and suggestions.This paper includes the following six chapters:ChapterⅠfocuses on the Three Gorges Reservoir area (Chongqing section) and demonstrates the significance of regional spatial structure optimization, and outlines the theory and methods of research in this paper, under the background of"progress and optimization of regional spatial structure serving the core of regional development.ChapterⅡoverviews the research on the regional spatial structure optimization at home and abroad and decides the basic issues to be involved in this paper at first; and then frames the theories about"spatial structure optimization during urbanization", and deliberates the concepts and thoughts about regional development and regional spatial respectively, and finally summarizes the guidelines for regional spatial structure optimization and paves the theoretic foundation for research in this paper.ChapterⅢmakes out the modes for the spatial structure in urbanization in the Three Gorges Reservoir area (Chongqing section). Firstly it nails down the general effects in urbanization and special effects in urbanization of the Three Gorges Reservoir area and collects useful data; and then carries out the principal components analysis and cluster analysis of these data, thus to finalize the main facts affecting the difference in urbanization of all districts and counties in the Three Gorges Reservoir area (Chongqing section) and also the general level of their development.ChapterⅣfirstly demonstrates the difference in the results of the former chapter, namely expounding the reasons for difference in urbanization in districts and counties in the Three Gorges Reservoir area (Chongqing section) in view of factors such like society, economy and development environment; and then divides this region into western, central and eastern parts according to the current situation of urbanization and the strategies for development in Chongqing, and also respectively describes the spatial structure characteristics and concludes the problems in the regional spatial structure.ChapterⅤdescribes the special outer environment for the spatial structure optimization in the Three Gorges Reservoir area (Chongqing section) firstly and defines the principles of optimization; then collects the actual basic conditions in the three sub-regions in the Three Gorges Reservoir area and customizes the corresponding modes and also measures for spatial structure optimization; lastly enjoys the prospect of optimization in this region.ChapterⅥsummarizes research in this paper and points out the deficiency and orientation in the future. |
