Research results shows that the Ezhou economics have got a great improvement as a result of the Wuhan city circle 1+8 strategy implemented and the impact of the real estate investment,Increase in the amount of real estate investment is particularly evident, with an average annual growth rate of 7.88 percent,to a certain extent propelled the use of cultivated land for urban construction.Economic growth makes land use way change. The area of arable land decreased by 317 hectares from 1996-2006.At the same time, mining settlements and independent sites, transportation sites respectively both increased. In addition, the construction of three major economic development zones is an extensive expansion. The expansion realized the transformation from collective ownership of rural land to state-owned land, but also from agricultural land to construction land.Population growth, not only need more construction land for meeting housing needs, but also promote urbanization. The process of urbanization promotes the structure changes of urban land. The population concentrating, industry focus and geographical spreading make land non-agricultural.The way of life and values also change the original structure of land use.The expansion of urban land made up of the industrial land, living space and land for the composition of the tertiary industry lead to the reduction of agricultural land.Conversion of land use structure improves Ezhou land-use function, to a certain extent also promotes Ezhou industrial restructuring. In turn, during the course of the industrial structure continuously adjusting, the land use structure must be moving towards a more reasonable direction. Finally, the paper concludes the problems in the Ezhou land use. From the sustainability point of view, the author puts forward 6 points strategy and suggestion for land use,in order to give some reference for the rational utilization of the land.
