Research On Development Of Eco-Tourism On Qinghai-Tibet Plateau

Eco-tourism, as an important way to realize regional sustainable development, is a rising tourism style and advanced mode of tourism development. Carrying out research to set up a theoretical system on eco-tourism is significant to boost the development of eco-tourism and to exploit and protect eco-tourism resources.Geographical uniqueness, as well as special climate and hydro geological conditions, contribute to rich eco-tourism resources of Qinghai-Tibet plateau. Scientific research on eco-tourism resources, in which a proposal for developing eco-tourism is raised, is a detailed reference for carrying out pilot program of eco-tourism development. It is also favorable for advancing social and economic development for local citizens.The thesis consists of six chapters. The first chapter offers a theoretical framework for developing eco-tourism on Qinghai-Tibet plateau by elaborating on how eco-tourism is developed and related theories.The second chapter analyzes the natural and human conditions of eco-tourism resources of Qinghai-Tibet plateau. An evaluation is offered in the chapter, based on classifying the eco-tourism resources on Qinghai-Tibet plateau.The third chapter proposed an exploiting program of eco-tourism on Qinghai-Tibet plateau, with analysis of characteristics of local eco-tourism resources and theories of Tourism science and geography.The fourth chapter developed an all-round design proposal of eco-tourism products and commodities. The chapter also inquires into the practices of building a pilot zone of eco-tourism on Qinghai-Tibet plateau.The fifth chapter designs eco-tourism routes on the plateau, based on the exploiting program and design proposal.The last chapter focuses on strengthening eco-tourism management, and carries out theoretical exploration on security system of eco-tourism development on Qinghai-Tibet plateau.
