In recent years, Many times lack of good faith cases that occurred in our country in succession rocked the nation and the world's food industry , which presents a grave threat to health and economic development. These cases are not accidental and necessarily tie up with some of the features that we have at present in transitional period of market economy . the main content of this paper is to explore the reason lack of good faith cases so as to find the way to resolve from the current and long-term perspective to recognize the food industry .In this paper, we give powerful supports obtained from a number of positive and negative cases and questionnaire data . The lack of good faith in the food industry's single enterprise is not only hindering the overall economic and social normal operation but also adversely affecting the entire industry and even other enterprises in industry chain. The external environment of enterprises cause the lack of good faith in the food industry, such as inspections of regulatory bodies and laws in the development of market economy relatively backward, no enough punishment for the lack of good faith enterprises ,too much regulatory authories, no definite responsibility, ect. The enterprises themselves have a number of factors: lack of sense of social responsibility; the low opportunity cost for enterprises of bad faith . Given the internal and external business environment, the author thinks that no enough punishment and lack of sense of social responsibility play a major role for the reason of lack of good faith in food industryAccording to above reason of lack of good faith,the article puts forward countermeasures. The author aims at no enough punishment and first puts forward the cancle incentive system for good faith enterprises and intensify punishment strength on the lack of good faith enterprises and their leaders . The author believes that good faith is the most fundamental for enterprises . The government and regulatory authorities should give a heavy penalty for drifting off track for the lack of good faith enterprises instead of incentive for good faith enterprises.
