Research On The Competitiveness Of Coastal Tourism

Coastal tourism is an important part of the tourism industry and one of the fastest-growing parts of the world's tourism industry .It is of great importance to many regions of the world. The development of coastal tourism can promote economic development of coastal areas, improve the quality of life for coastal residents, bring all-round development of coastal areas and protect the coastal regions' natural resources and the environment. At present, both developed and developing countries are aware of the importance of coastal tourism, have increased investment in coastal tourism, and strive for greater international and domestic market share. There is fierce competition in the coastal tourism, so it is important to identify the factors that affect competition. The coastal areas can be rational developed from some strategies and measures that are to improve their competitiveness.On the basis of research data about competitiveness of the coastal tourism, the competitiveness theory, marine science, and location theory and so on, build a three-part coastal tourism competitiveness evaluation index system. Using factor analysis and spss statistical software study on the competitiveness of coastal tourism in Shandong Province, including Qingdao, Yantai, Weihai, Rizhao, Weifang, Binzhou and Dongying seven coastal areas. The results showed that: Shandong coastal tourism on the competitiveness of the overall form of a pyramid, leading Qingdao, Yantai and Weihai in the subsequent development of coastal tourism and the competitiveness of other regions of the weakest.(1)The competitiveness of Qingdao is far ahead of other coastal cities in Shandong province. Three factors which are coastal resources, tourism development in the degree of government support and the tourism environment, are better than other coastal cities in Shandong province. Especially after Olympic sailing competition carried out in 2008, it is far in excess of other cities in the organizational capacity in the tourism, accommodation and technical personnel performance, so the performance of its tourism industry is also significantly higher than other areas.(2)Weihai and Yantai have high-quality coastal tourism resources. The competitiveness of the two cities is similar, but it still has difference between Weihai and Yantai. Yantai. Compared to Weihai, Yantai has rich the coastal tourism resources, tourism, organizational capacity and accommodation capacity, and many professional human resources. But it is also necessary for Yantai to improve the environment of tourism.(3) Rizhao has rich coastal tourism resources. With the support of coastal tourism resources, Rizhao has great potential for coastal tourism development. As the government department to increase the input of the tourism industry and regional economic development, coastal tourism industry it will have a faster development in Rizhao. The competitiveness of the other three regions is relatively weak.The last part of thesis gives some strategies to enhance the competitiveness of the coastal tourism in Shandong Province.
