A Comparative Analysis On The Development Of Serviecs Trade Between China And ASEAN

With the global economic integration and the adjustment and upgrading of the world industry, service began to play a more and more important role in many countries's economy, and International Services Trade is becoming the new standard for competitive strength. ASEAN, as a close neighbor of China in many parts, have a good relationship with China in Goods Trades. Howerver, the corresponding part, the Services Trade lags behind far away. With the signing of China - ASEAN Free Trade Area framework for cooperation and the Agreement on Services Trade in the recent years, there are great opportunities for the development of bilateral economy between CAFTA. Therefore, the international experts become to pay more attention in research of the Service Trade field of China-ASEAN cooperation.On the basis of the service trade promoting economic growth theory and trade competitive advantage theory, analysis of the service trade import and export volume and structure, competitive advantage and economic contribution are followed. After a present situation description, this paper tries to analyze and compare the services trade of China-ASEAN with econometric methods and cases study to get a better understanding of markets between the the parts and probe the the relationship between the two sides by using UNCTAD latest official statistics.Basing on this theoretical foundation, the following part is trying to describe the process of China-ASEAN trade in services liberalization negotiations, and illustrate the barries between them.Then basing on the conclusion that it is a win-win for the two parts to carry out the service trade and the welfare of the bilateral is greatly promoted, the relevant policy recommendations are proposed that China should seize the opportunity actively to carry out Services Trade with ASEAN.
