| When the New China established, Lanzhou was only a city with less than 200 thousand people. Hundred things should be done. After less than 30 years' restoration and development, Lanzhou became a well-known heavy industry city. This article was about the history of the form and development of Lanzhou heavy industry between 1949and 1978.The thesis divides three parts to inspect the history of Lanzhou heavy industry. And now, the Lanzhou heavy industry center status has established.Under the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party, Lanzhou city could develop into an emerging heavy industry city in a short time, which has unfolded "the politics decide the economy" urban develop-pattern typically. On one hand, this process refracted how to govern the urban by the CCP and the expand industry economy idea; on the other hand, the process had also displayed the idea which the Chinese Communist Party rules a nation. And many experiences were worth summarizing. The Chinese Communist Party policy guidance mobilizes ability in economic development's formidable function is the key aspect of Lanzhou develops into the heavy industry city. Although the Lanzhou heavy industry has developed, but in fact Lanzhou city is far away from the resources place, so the product manufacturing cost is high.
