Hubei Province and Wuhan City decided to build Wuhan Bonded Logistics Center (B-) in the East and West Lakes region in 2005. Center is approved by the General Administration of Customs, which makes bonded warehouse, export warehouse, and other regulatory functions in one new mode of customs supervision. It is the policy tilt to encourage opening up again after establishing economic development zone in the mainland, opening cities along the Yangtze River and establishing export processing zones. Wuhan bonded logistics center as functional facilities to speed up processing and manufacturing, import and export trade and modern logistics industry will develop international trade, bonded warehouse and export processing comprehensively.This dissertation starts from the theory of free trade zone and the bonded area to provide theoretical basis for the demonstration of Wuhan bonded logistics center. Then making a comparative study of different areas Customs controlled and setting the Suzhou Industrial Park as a successful example to be used for reference. After the analysis of the economic development and outward conditions of the bonded logistics center, the article uses the basic macroeconomic effects model to forecast the economic benefits brought by Wuhan bonded logistics center, concluded: bonded logistics center in Wuhan can serve as a growth pole in regional economy and promote the surrounding economic development. At last, according to the analysis and comparison before, bonded logistics center in Wuhan faces a lot of challenges and finds the existing problems in regional economic development. In light of these problems the dissertation makes some practical recommendations and gives the direction of development of Wuhan bonded logistics center.
