According to the result of geological reconnaissance, brine resources reserves reaches 6 billions cubic meter in the north of Wei fang region, and its density is high. and burial depth is shallow. In recent years, making use of the advantageous resources, Weifang strengthen brine's exploitation and obtain remarkable achievement. The amount of annual production of crude salt and bromid is respective 16 million tons and 0.1 million tons. Annual yield reaches 5 billion Yuan RMB, which accounts for 25 percent of local finance income. So development and utilization of brine has already become important industry for Weifang economy. But with the long-term massive and disorderly exploration, the brine consumption is much more than the supply. Thus the brine resource dries up gradually. This research focuses on comprehensive development and utilization of brine resources as well as resources effective protection and reasonable usage; it not only has enormous economic value, but also has significant practical meanings for carrying out the scientific concept of development, constructing conservation-oriented society, and impelling local economy to be sustainable development.Based on related research, thorough investigating enterprise, consulting relevant experts and comparing to several data etc, the thesis makes comprehensive evaluation to the development and utilization of brine resources in Weifang area.
