Research On The Development Strategy Of Energy Resources In Anhui Province

Energy resources are the material base indispensible to the development of human society. Any country or region cannot enjoy social or economic development without support from energy resources. Due to rapid economic growth, there has been a sharp rise in the demand of energy resources and contradictions between supply and demand have been growing ever since reform and opening-up. As a big province rich in energy in the central region, Anhui not only has its geographical location connecting South and North, but also links East and West in the country's economy. Thus, working out an energy development strategy for Anhui has important strategic significance for accelerating the development of energy industry and making structural adjustment, to convert energy advantages into economic advantages, build Anhui into an important energy industry base and promote the rise of central China.This paper introduces the concept of energy,it compares Porter's Five Forces Model, Boston Matrix, Ge Matrix, SWOT analysis, then analyze both the macro-environment and micro-environment of energy resources in Anhui, providing theory basis for strategy formulation. This paper predicts the primary situation of production and consumption of both energy and electric power in Anhui with the annual amount of energy consumption and GDP from 2000 to 2007. Linear Regression Model is used to predict supply and demand of energy resources. The situation of energy consumption from 2008 to 2020 is accurately predicted here. On this basis , this paper comes up with the energy development strategy and guiding ideology in Anhui Province according to all comprehensive analysis mentioned above as well as the Strategic Management theory.
