Urumqi government has paid much attention to logistics in recent years, so the writer regarded the developing of modern logistics in Urumqi as one of important studying subjects and made a earlier investigation of relevant departments, and then wrote down this Study on Modern Logistics Development Planning in Urumqi. First of all, on the basis of the development of modern logistics at home or abroad, the writer has made a detailed studying and analysis on the status of the logistics in Urumqi. From the status of Urumqi's economic and social development, the logistics infrastructure and the logistics market, the writer has made a analysis of the Urumqi's logistics status and characteristics from different levels and has made an evaluation of the logistics industry in Urumqi. Secondly, the writer focused on forecasting the logistics demand in Urumqi, and proposed the forecast course. According to using regression analysis method, grey model method and so on, the writer detailed forecasted Urumqi's integrated freight transportation volume, Urumqi's logistics volume and so on. In addition, on the basis of logistics node's concept function, role, classification and combining with the domestic and international experiences about the site selection of the logistics node location, the writer has made a comprehensive study of the site selection,and made a detailed analysis and evaluation to the selected site according to using the Analytic hierarchy process method. Combing with the selection of the Urumqi's logistics park, the writer have applied the AHP method, then the layout and planning of the logistics park, logistics center and distribution center in Urumqi have been studied according to the national planning standards and the status of the logistics infrastructure. Finally, the design and the development pattern of the logistics information system have been analyzed in Urumqi and the logistics Information system have been conducted a preliminary planning, at the same time, the writer proposed the policies and measures of realizing Urumqi's logistics development planning.In the paper, the writer use qualitative analysis as major and quantity analysis as supplement, on the basis of making full use of investigation and study of Urumqi's existing logistics facilities, the paper determined reasonably logistics infrastructure's planning. layout, functions, size and ability, and proposed the policies and measures of realizing the modern logistics development planning so as to make a reference for the modern logistics development planning in Urumqi.
