Xinjiang is located in Chinese northwestern border, which is a minority autonomous regions, and it plays an important strategic position and the status of ecological security in the economic development of the country. Since reform and opening policy was introduced, Xinjiang has made and practiced a series of space structure model in accordance with national. These models play a positive role in the economic development of Xinjiang in different historical periods. But it has proved that these models are more or less the existence of this or that aspect of the defect. Therefore, for the economical space structure of Xinjiang becoming increasingly reasonable, it is entirely necessary to have further research and discuss in the theoretical.this paper synthetically analyzes the status quo of research on the economical space structure of regional both at home and abroad, to aim at the history of economical space structure of Xinjiang, it detailed investigate the city system, transportation system the economic focus areas and the characteristics of economical space structure of Xinjiang from the angle of structural elements, according to the selection criteria of economical space structure model, to empirical studies at the basis of theoretical analysis, the paper provides the development model of economical space structure of Xinjiang, that is, "glasses" model structure.The "skeleton" of "glasses" model structure is made of current and being builded traffic routes in Xinjiang, every city or town groups on these traffic routes play their respective advantages and cooperate each other, with the greatest degree of external force, it will maximize the benefit of economical space structure of Xinjiang. the construction of "glasses" model structure is to the point of cultivating increasing pole, clearing point-axis system, and improving town system."glasses" model structure not only show the key points of development, but also conside the interaction and coordination of the east, north and the southern border; not only take inside special advantage, but also strengthen the cooperation across regions; both enhance internal forces of itself, and most use the external forces, it is a better spatial structure model of the development of Xinjiang in a certain period of future.
