Knowledge Service Industry And Studies On Urbanization Process For The City Of Ningbo

The modern society development largely relies upon the sound high-tech industry and knowledge service industry. The knowledge service industry (Knowledge Intensive Business Services KIBS)creates the value of multiply factor by its knowledge service and imposes huge impact on the economic development and urbanization process of a city. However the studies on the industry is still at its elementary stage, not to mention that the studies on the relation between the industry development and urbanization process for the city of Ningbo remain a blank area. As such, this article conducts a quantitative analysis the change of Ningbo industry and employment structure based on the statistics data from Ningbo economic survey, compares with the employment structure of Hong Kong at the same development level, introducts some basic discussion on those fundamental issues in the correlation between the knowledge service industry and urbanization process, and proposes a few strategic measures to further promote the development for the industry and urbanization process of Ningbo.
