The 21st century is an age of technology. The ever-changing market environment will make new products speed up the pace. Others haven't but I have; if others have, I will do the best. If the enterprises want to have a place in the market, it is necessary to improve their product quality and service quality. Quality is a long-term solution to win. So, products quality and the quality of service are the keys of promoting self competition of one company.There are still many deficiencies about the quality in China's domestic enterprises at present, which affect the enterprise'quality of products and services directly. China is a big country of iron and steel, but not a strong country of iron and steel, the contrast of"Big"and"Strong"reflect that China's current total quality management system is not perfect, and it is infect the quality of the iron and steel. Therefore, how to improve the overall quality of China's iron and steel enterprises is a priority level.This thesis overviews the theory of total quality management and analyses quality management of China's iron and steel enterprises on the basis of analysis the status and lack of quality management in W Iron and Steel Company, at the same time, it discusses the five ways to improve their overall quality management system, and analyses the application about Six Sigma management in W Iron and Steel Company, the expectations of how to promote China's iron and steel enterprises to improve the level of total quality management, and then it want to provide a reference to improve the iron and steel enterprise'core competitiveness and innovative ability. The contents are as follows:The first chapter overviews the background of this research and research significance, and then introduces the research ideas.Chapter two expounds the theoretical for Total Quality Management.Chapter three mainly analyses the situation and the questions of Total Quality Management about W Iron and Steel Company.The fourth chapter is devoted to improve the W Iron and Steel Company's total quality management system.The fifth chapter discusses the applications of the methods of Six Sigma management control in the W Iron and Steel Company's control about Continuous Casting of Slab caster.The last chapter is a summary of this thesis, analysing the deficiency and prospect of this thesis.
