The Study Of Foreign Investment Risk About Oil-Gas Enterprise China

Along with the pace of economic globalization being fast, the economy competition between nations is fierce and the transnational investment shall evolve into the chief battlefield. However, there are lumping risk for overseas investment because of the difference such as in language, cultural, economical development and political environment among nations. Transnational investment risks are characterized by objectivity, coexistence , diversity complexity and so on .It is significant for oversea as enterprises to identify and deal with the risk of overseas investment project.Overseas investment risk analysis for petroleum enterprises is of great importance due to the features of "high investment, high repayment, high risks."Overseas investment of China petroleum enterprises is now in its early stage. Early in 1990s, the three state-owned petroleum enterprises began to invest overseas. But many problems exist in the course of investment, leading to more cases of unsuccess. One main reason for unsuccessful investment is the lack of effective risk assessment and control.On the basis of careful analysis of risk definition, features and types as well as the cases of China petroleum enterprises overseas investment, this thesis classifies the risks on China petroleum enterprises' overseas investment and analysizes the reasons for risks. This thesis also provides some insight into risk control strategies for China petroleum enterprises' overseas investment.
