Culture is one of the important endogenous factors in the international trade. In an increasingly competitive international trade, in order to improve the international competition, various countries begin to pay close attention to the cultural intension of the commodity, besides emphasizing on the traditional comparative advantages.On the premise of affirming traditional comparative advantage theories, this paper focuses on the effect of culture endowment on the international trade. Firstly, it defines the concept of culture endowment, through analyzing the cultural attributes of the food, takes food as an external material form of the culture endowment. Secondly, it introduces the culture endowment as a kind of endogenous variable into the food trade, and attempts to explore the impact of culture endowment on the international food tradeThis thesis holds the view that the food is a kind of special commodity with rich cultural connotations. The essence of the international food trade is the exchange of cultural values; The differences and fusions of the dietetic culture are the basic roots of the international food trade; The comparative advantage in the culture endowment of food is the realistic motive force for promoting international trade; The cultural conflicts are the deep reasons for causing the trade friction and trade barriers.Research ideas in this article: This text has summarized a large number of domestic and international researches. On this basis of it, affirms the effect of the consumption preference and the cultural differences in the food trade theoretically, proposes the trade effect of culture endowment. By analyzing the function of culture endowment in such aspects as demand, the pattern, the cost and efficiency and the new trade barrier in the international food trade, the article summarizes the effect of culture endowment, and takes the culture endowment as the critical factors in the international food trade. The paper considers that effect of culture endowment can influence or restrict the development of international food trade. Finally, it makes a deep consideration on the problem of trade friction from the cultural aspect.The innovations of the article: it brings the culture endowment into the international food trade, analyzes the causes of the trade friction at the view of culture, psychology and political issue. The article proposes the solution on the basis of the different culture endowment, and offers a new thinking for promoting the international food trade. It also has a certain meaning to export and break up the new trade barrier effectively in promoting agricultural products of our country.
