| Wheat is one of the most important grain crops, it accounts for above 35 percent of main grain demand in the world, being the second grain crop in our country. The total output of wheat is 25% of ultimate grain production throughout our country. The planted area amounts up to 300 million ha per year. Now, our country is demanding for high yield, high quality and efficient agriculture to increase production, improve the processing quality and nutritional value, raise the market competitive, which is one of the most exigent tasks before us for the work of wheat production and improvement.Being based on analysis and review on the natural conditions, the situation of high-quality wheat production, the condition of farming, the grain processing and distribution system in Ningling county, this work summarize the planting history of high-quality wheat cultivation, the layout of planting, the variety selection, the yield level, the quality status after 1990s last century in Ningling county. Combining the situation of high-quality wheat production at domestic and overseas, this paper point out that production of high-quality wheat is advantage and necessary in Ningling county. Discussing on the problems during high-quality wheat production, it provides a basis on variety selection, a layout and improving high technology to production high-quality wheat. The main results are as follows:1. Ningling County is lying plain east Henan, with the ground evenes, being abundant in light and heat. Ray radiation is high, annual mean temperature 14.2℃. The period of free frost is 212 days. The time of daylight is 2220.3 hours per year. The quantity of annual precipitation per year is 662.2 mm. The soil is fertilized, at the same time, it being irrigation area for drought. It has superiority natural resources and specific production condition. Ningling county maintains high yielding for wheat production and it is main production belt of wheat. So it has basic condition to improve and being suits to produce quality wheat for specific end-use.2. Ningling county is a traditional agriculture county having a very long history for wheat cultivation, perfect agricultural extension system. The peasants have good scientific and technical consciousness, and technology content of farming is high. The wheat scientific research, the production and seeds propagation technology are advanced. The scientific conditions is perfect for producting specific high quality wheat in Ningling county. 3. Ningling county has five grain processing companies with three of them processing capacity over five ten thousand ton per year, 14 state-owned grain distribution enterprises. All these enterprises give a guarantee to transformation for high-quality wheat production. At the same time, the traffic is very conveniently in Ningling county. So it has a specific transportation and transformation condition for developing high quality wheat for specific end-use.4. Effective measures were taken to accelerate development of high quality wheat for specific end-use in Ningling county, such as selection good variety, plant layout, improvement management, high-quality wheat varieties propagation, spreading cultivation techniques and improving operator scientific level and so on, which are key measures to set up and perfect further production system of quality wheat for specific end-use.The above results have direction meaning and applied value for high-quality wheat production, layout, adjust of agricultural structure in Ningling county. At the same time, the results have important reference value to developing high good wheat for those area with similar conditions. |
