The Study Of The Location Of Logistics Center For Fresh Agricultural Product Based On Logistics Costs

The economic reformation and development have entered the key stage in China. The problem of "agriculture-countryside-farmer" is now the most important thing in so many problems we are facing. The development bottleneck of agriculture changes from production to circulation at present. Poor and expensive distribution of the agricultural commodities is a big problem, in which the distribution of perishables always hold an important place. Perishables draw extensive attention in agricultural industry restructuring. With the continuing increase of planting and cultivation area, the production is also increasing. However, the distribution of perishables develops slowly. How to arrange efficient distribution to deliver the products from the production field to consumers carrying out its real value is a problem worth our high attention and deep research.A reasonable location of the distribution center can make it more efficient and less expensive, so a deep research how to reasonably locate a distribution center is of great theoretical meaning and practical value. This paper makes a deep consideration of the location of perishables distribution center for a such companies, and it also makes a complete analysis about the factors which should be considered when choosing the place according to its special features. At last, it concludes the location of perishables distribution center as the problem of minimum cost referring to the successful models of distribution center. The problem is mainly about optimization of total distribution cost, setting up the best selecting model aiming at minimizing the total cost, which can be solved by mixed integer programming.The paper consists of six parts. First, it is the introduction about the researching background and meaning of the location of perishables distribution, the current situation of the management of perishables distribution costs and the present research and trend of the distribution location, then a general introduction of the main idea of the whole paper. The second part is the relative theoretical bases. There is a systematic introduction of what distribution is and its development, its constituents and the basic types of distribution; the definition of perishables distribution and the operation objects, a conclusion to the development of perishables distribution in China; at last, the definition, function and types of distribution center, the constituent of distribution costs. The third part is mainly about the basic theory of the location of distribution center, which includes the objects, principles, influent factors, the progress and steps. Fourth, the focus is on the four models of distribution location based on the classification and the methods, such as the CFLP model, mixed integer programming model. Part five is the main part in the paper. Based on the features of perishables distribution, an optimized model of distribution location is made up aiming at the least cost in perishables distribution adopting mixed integer programming to make out the location model. The last part is the conclusion of the whole paper, the problems in research and the future direction of research are mentioned.
