| With the boom of car industry in China, the importance of (international) motor exhibition gradually emerges in auto plant. Due to the late start-up of car industry in China, no much attention was paid to the manufacturing of the exhibition automobile, which mainly relied on those imported parts or directly import from overseas factory. Recent years, with the professionalism of the motor show, the attendance of professional media and the World Wide Web increases year by year. The motor show would not only showcase the top notch technology and concept of the car industry, but only represent the capability of domestic automotive manufacturing. Especially with the emphasis on the ability to self-own technology today, how to manufacture the exhibition car solely by ourselves with international standard does have profound meaning to the manufacturer itself.Generally speaking, the project management techniques are mainly applied on the NPI (New Product Introduction) phase in those mass production factories. This thesis mainly states the current situation of exhibition car manufacturing and, together with the pass experience, explains the various factors to the quality and the progress of the exhibition car. Also, the specialty of the exhibition car is integrated with the program management skills to solve the actual problems encountered in the real world in this article. A customized professional process for the exhibition car manufacturing is formed to have the program management skills effectively applied in the mass-pro plant so as to complete the task on time with good quality. The first chapter states the development history of car industry of mainland China, which leads to the importance of exhibition car manufacturing and its current status. This sets the focus of this thesis, to improve the exhibition car manufacturing with the techniques of project management. The second chapter mainly explains the problems when the exhibition car is manufactured by the mass production factory, the root cause of which is analyzed as well. The third chapter focuses on the progress management and quality management and how to solve the aforementioned problem with principle and real practice. The forth chapter summarizes the pros and cons of this project and places of improvement. The fifth chapter defines the process diagram of the manufacture of the exhibition car. |
