Night tour is a newly-born tourism form.With the deepening development of the tourism industry, night tour is bound to become the new approach of the development in future tourism. At present, night tour in Lanzhou City is still in its initial stage of development. The development of future tourism in Lanzhou lies in how to excavate the potential ability of tourism market and to develop the urban tourism in order to achieve the sustainable development of night tour on the basis of present tourism resourses. The paper attempts to apply RMIP (Resource Market Image Product) product planning model in carrying out the night and planning the products of night tour so as to give the theoretical guidance which proposes some constructive suggestions on the development of night tour products.The paper is divided into four parts from the structural view. The first part is the introduction which gives the brief view on the significance of choosing the subject, the background, the present situation of night tour research, the structure and the content of the paper. The second part, it illustrates the night tour and RMIP product planning model and analyses the guidance significance to night tour. In the third part, it analyses the advantages of night tour resources and the market demand as well as the imagine orientation in Lanzhou from the three perspectives: the resource, the market and the image. It determines and sums up the market structure of night tour in Lanzhou to give the market orientation of night tourism product by establishing the charts and other approaches. The fourth part is the focal point of the paper. The exploiting strategies on how to develop the night tour products in Lanzhou have been proposed. The development of product which reevaluates the resources in Lanzhou and classifies the consumers market is based on RMIP product planning model as its theoriecal foundation. It provides the present tourism image in order to optimize the space structure of night tourism products and develop its products pedigree so as to plan various products and the travel routes to achieve the sustainable development of night tour as the final goal.
