Today, the developing countries are entering the middle stage of the rapid urbanization development, of which the rate is accelerating, while urbanization in developed countries is almost completed. Based on the law of development of urbanization, China is in the middle stage of urbanization, and China's urbanization will continue to maintain the rapid pace of development in the next 20-30 years.Urban and rural areas, as two different space carriers of human production and l-iving activities, have essential and quantitative differences for the consumption of natural resources, particularly the consumption of energy resources, that the urban energy consumption per capita is much higher than the rural areas. As the world's second la-rgest energy consumer, China's energy supply and demand imbalance has become imp-ortant constraint of China's rapidly advancing urbanization process, and how to coordinate the relationship between urbanization and energy consumption is a subject of gro-wing concern. This article is based on the theory of urbanization, set out from relationship bet-ween the level of urbanization and energy consumption, based on the impact mechani-sm of the process of urbanization on energy consumption, identify the energy consum-ption characteristics in the process of China's urbanization by describing the non-linearimpact of urbanization on energy consumption through the creation of nonlinear STR models, find out:1. In different stages of development of urbanization development level of urbanization has different impact mechanics on energy consumption. This study found that: China's urbanization is not only gone through a long, winding, undulating road of de-velopment and in the development of urbanization, there are regional differences, from the west to the east with increasing trend.2. Different period of urbanization development has different impact on energy. In the medium-term development of China's urbanization, the impact of energy consumption in development rate not only has the current effect, also has a cumulative effect. 3. With the continuous improvement of the urbanization level, energy cost is cha-nging in order to further improve the growth rate of the urbanization level. There are multiple mechanisms conversion on the impact of energy consumption in the Urbani-zation development process.4. Urbanization has caused China's energy consumption increased in both production and living. The main cause of China's accelerated energy consumption is that the leadership of industry in China is changing to the heavy industry, while technological advances are part of the offset effect of this acceleration. Finally, according to the conclusions above, proposals for the urbanization of China's future healthy development path put forward, including: China's urbanization must follow its rules, and the rate of the urbanization must be appropriate. Energy consumption structure should be adjusted and the energy efficiency should be improved.
