A Research On Commodity Price In The Shanxi-Hebei-Shandong-Henan Border Region During Anti-Japanese War

In the Anti-Japanese War period, the price of Shanxi-Hebei-Shandong-Henan Border Region showed a rising trend, which directly disrupted the production and life order of the military and civilian, and also brought negative influence to the anti-Japanese War. In order to stabilize prices, the Government developed the production as the fundamental starting point to develop a series of measures to smooth prices; therefore, it stabilized the prices to a certain extent, and supports the war to a certain extent.This article is divided into four parts:first, to analyze the commodity and the major characteristics of price changes; second,to explore the reasons for price increases caused; third, to introduce the measures that the Government take to stabilize commodity prices, including production development, food Monopoly, monetary policy, trade policy and fiscal and tax policy; fourth, to discuss the effect and revelation of the management of prices.To sum up, this article attempts to sum up historical experience of the management of prices in the Shanxi-Hebei-Shandong-Henan border region during the Anti-Japanese War period.
