The fast development of e-commerce and tourism industry gives birth to a new phenomenon, the booming of E-commerce Tourism (ECT). Since e-commerce adapts to tourism industry quite well, it is prospected that the ECT would have a very bright future. Nowadays, ECT Enterprises in China have different levels of development. Comparing with that of developed countries, ECT Enterprises in China is at an early stage and the competitiveness of ECT Enterprises is still rather weak. The fact that many of those ECT Enterprises in China are at initiated stage and could not drawn a clear and comprehensive picture of the development of tourism industry, this has prevented them having the appropriate model to operate and find out the right way to attract the market, which ultimately makes some of them in an inferior position in the market.Therefore, based on the careful study of the competitiveness of ECT Enterprises, this dissertation with five parts, endeavors to improve the overall competitiveness of ECT Enterprises and ultimately, to promote its development in China.In part one, it began with the literature review of the study of Enterprises'competitiveness, and ECT Enterprises and then it went to introduce the methodology.In part two, it mainly talked about many aspects of ECT Enterprises, namely, the definition, operating model and categorize of ECT Enterprises. The nature of ECT Enterprises had been particularly clarified and those factors supposed to impact the competitiveness of ECT Enterprises, like operating, customer service, organization, finance, had been carefully analyzed.In part three, the indexes for the Competitiveness Assessment of ECT Enterprises had been carried out and the principles of building the indexes had been stated. Based on the statistics from survey and supported by AHP method, the indexes with three layers and weights had been built.Part four was an empirical study of the ECT Enterprises. Companies like Ctrip, Elong, Mangocity had been studied with the methodology above. The result turned out that the indexes for the assessment of ECT Enterprises were with scientific and applicable sense or value.In part five, it concludes with the review of finding, shortcoming and innovation of the study as well as the prospective of its future application.
