| With the rapid development of urbanization, the difficulty in management of cities and towns increase year by year. Urban management–'software'is lagging behind the urban construction-'hardware'. Taking a systematic and scientific management becomes urgent. However, no mater in the past or at present, in theoretical circles at home and abroad, studies on urban management are more than studies on management of cities and towns. So, researching on how to strengthen management of cities and towns has a strong theoretical and practical significance. This paper main discussed about the research methods of empirical analysis, qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis.Firstly, on the basis of overviewing the research at home and the European,American and other foreign countries'management experience of cities and towns, this paper defined the concept of the management of cities and towns, discussed the theories of management of cities and towns,so as to lay a theoretical foundation for the subject.Secondly, this paper took LuLong as an example to discuss the current situation and problems of cities and towns. So as to point out that it is nesissary to evaluate the management performance of cities and towns of LuLong.Thirdly, this paper constructed the evaluation index system of management of cities and towns by using 29 indicators on economic development levels, life quality of residents, ecological environment, social stability and status of cities and towns. The empirical analysis demonstrated the management problems of cities and towns of LuLong.At last, this paper come to the conclusion that management philosophy should be innovated further, and the development strategy, economy, ecological environment and society of cities and towns should be paid more attention. This paper especially focused on how to establish a scientific management system, form complete management ideas, so as to propose operable recommendations on strengthening the management of cities and towns. |
