ERP means Enterprise Resource Planning. It represents the most widely used and most effective as a business management which has been reflected through computer software. Although this concept - ERP implementation is currently applied in our country has become increasingly widespread, however there are many entreprise still take it for granted that traditionally spend money to buy a ERP software then the ERP vendors have the responsibility to help them to ERP use up, but have neglected the need for a standardized ERP software -- the "implementation" process. To apply a ERP Software and a general application software or a small applcation, the biggest difference is the "implementation of the ERP' concept. To General applications, as long as software developers or distributors slight training for users, then a user can operate the software, the software application effect good or bad depends largely on the quality of thw software itself. The ERP system is totally different, the implementation of ERP needs according to the actual situation of enterprises, to enhance the business managers's understanding of the ERP system and entreprise self-awareness as well as the re-configuration management processes, and so a series of "implementation" process through training. Make full use of the enterprise's own resources is to apply the enterprise ERP system to popularization, the so-called "three parts to software, seven parts to implement."This article uses the concept of ERP project implementation and project management theory conducted applied research of Changchun Bombardier Railway Vehicle Co., Ltd. ERP implementation, is divided into four chapters: The fist chapterdescribe the requirement of ERP of Changchun-Bombardier Railway Vehicles Co. Ltd. Changchun - Bombardier in order to improve product development efficiency and promoting the development of new products, improve management, improve product quality a series of demand-driven, made decision to purchase and implement the ERP system. And introduced the Changchun -Bombardier the status of ERP in the recent years. From 2002 began to organize experts to conduct a feasibility study to the 2003 trial run, to official run since 2004.As a whole , The ERP system for the company's development has played a veryimportant role.After two years implementaion, ERP project had achieved a closed-loop MRP management system. By 2007, ERP run so far had achieved the manufacturing resource planning MRPII, basically meeting the needs of the entreprise normal business needs and operations.The second chapter introduces the implement ERP overall project of Changchun-Bombardier Company which will be divided into the pre-ERP project cycle, planning, implementation and delivery four stages, including a clear mandate of the each project phases, as well as the job description of every stages.Secondly, this chapter described the method which Changchun-Bombarider company selected how to choose the ERP system. CBRC Followed the principle to select a suitable software product, rather than choosing the best software product. At the beginning before the ERP system, enterprise leaders and participate in the system of personnel choice should participate in the initial ERP education, understand what is ERP, cost, effectiveness and how to implement and how to manage a range of issues followed. Prior to selecting ERP systems, it should also be seen in both psychological and practical preparation, the project is expected to do a good job on the ERP (including the cost, quality, progress, efficiency), the project risks that may be encountered during the preparation of such issues. CBRC select ERP system, the project implementation team is responsible for selection of study and providing a report which delivered to all project-related organizations to discuss the decision. Finally according to the analysis of enterprise's own business needs, examination of ERP vendors, ERP system function of the research on competitors in the same industry reference, and following the expert advice to make the final choice. Then this chapter introduced the hardware and software environment of ERP system.At the end of this chapter, introduced the Changchun-Bombardier company's ERP implementation of the project's overall planning, clear step by step implementation of the overall planning of ERP applications is a principle to be followed, according to the specific situation of enterprises pointed out that the overall planning must reflect the business management progressive improvement to adapt to technological advances in the management of enterprises in the process of instability, reflecting the integrity of ERP required to achieve traceability of data. In order to ensure the integrity and applicability of ERP to make a comprehensive plan is the guiding principle to enterprise ERP application.In chapter III, researched Changchun - Bombardier ERP implementation methods with the project management theory and the ERP implementation methods to. First of all, following the spirit of the people-oriented management thinking made three elements preparation - person, data and technology. And this phase pointed out the importance of employee understanding of ERP.Second, this chapter introduced the ERP 10-step implementation rules: elementary education, project organization, system training, system definition, system switching, data preparation, system testing, user training, operation and maintenance and system upgrading, etc. and gave a definition of the major work done at each step as well as its significance. Pointed out the ERP project scope and objectives and identified the basis for the implementation. In the ERP implementation process, the most difficult is how to control the scope and objectives. If the scope and objectives of the constantly changing, the resources (time, manpower, capital) would be thrown into a state of uncertainty. Organization of the project would be difficult to achieve planned and orderly nature. Only complete a certain target in a given resource is a guarantee, if the goals extend indefinitely, it will be impossible to implement the project continue.Finally, is about how to set up the ERP project organization during the ERP implementation process in Changchun - Bombardier Company and how to define their responsibilities as well as the deployment of human resources. ERP projectorganization and management is a dynamic,constant process, an ERP project'ssuccess means three parts technology and seven parts implementation. Personnel organization and management is the core of the ERP project management. The implementation of the ERP project requires that senior corporate leaders, management staff of various departments and professional efforts of the dedicated computer personnel, none is dispensable. And described how to track the process and how to avoid the risk of ERP project. The low success rate of ERP implementation is determined by various causes, and the lack of serious of which is responsible for the high level of oversight mechanisms is an important reason. To improve the level of ERP applications, company need to establish a project monitoring system during theERP implementation process , with the kinds of professional and scientificmanagement to ensure that the ERP project on schedule, shelf-life to complete. To discover potential risks and revise timely through risk management during ERP implementation process, the Project Steering Group take corresponding measures to improve the project implementation to avoid the production and impact of risk aversion. Project monitoring is the project supervision and control throughout the whole process of ERP implementation, is the basic guarantee for ERP implementation.Chapter IV carried out a summary for Changchun - Bombardier ERP implementation in recent years, point out the ERP system used in Bombardier's experience of success and shortcomings, and the moment bring forward some new requirements for the ERP system. Also pointed out the nature of ERP implementation is not just a phase of the work, it should be with the enterprise business needschange,information technology and enterprise management level to enhance andimprove continuously updated , so as to make ERP systems more good for business services.
