The Research Of Tourism Standardization In Regional Tourism Cooperation

Regional tourism cooperation has become a trend in the development of world tourism industry. However, contradictions between the urgent practical needs and sluggish actual operation have not been effectively addressed which causes a lack of effective ways for the realization of tourism cooperation. It is worth noting that Standardization is the experiences crystallization of the socialization, mercerization and large scaled running through the production development of human society, laying the foundation for the bigger and better development of an industry. Standardization is the main achievement and important path of the integration of regional tourism; it will play an important part in the process of regional tourism cooperation.Based on such existing researches in administrative Region of the economic theory, neo-public management theory and Standardization theory, this study takes the Yangtze River Delta which includes Shanghai, Jiangsu and Zhejiang as an example, explores the coupling relationship between cooperation in tourism development and tourism standardization. Delphi method is implemented to consult and evaluate the primary contribution elements of tourism standardization to regional tourism cooperation. Basic principles of regional tourism standardization are proposed by studying value system as well as the regional achievements and bottlenecks in the process of tourism standardization in Yangtze River Delta, that is combining regional and open feature, combining practicality and innovation, combining coordination and integration and combining reality and forward-looking, combining international and regional. The concept of Regional Tourism Standard is originally introduced based on such principles. Regional Tourism Standard is defined as the critical path of the nationwide tourism standardization, the integration of regional culture and the motivation of raising general tourism competitiveness in a region. This study also put forward several practical suggestions on the development of Regional Tourism Standard System.
