ABSTRACTWith the integration of world economy and the evolvement of the structure of the society and economy, counties have become more and more important in the development of the country or the region. At the same time the competition among the counties has become more and more intense, thus,how to enhance the competitiveness of the county economy has drawn attention from all walks of life in the society and the evaluation of the county economy's comprehensive competitiveness has become an essential presumption.The paper take the county of Xinxiang in Henan province as the object.It tries to establish county integrated competitiveness evaluative index system of Xinxiang to offer an effective analysis tool for the county's development and the raising of competitiveness,to provide theoretic foundation and practice guiding for the county government formulating corresponding promotion countermeasure.This paper gives a definition of county integrated competitiveness and establishes the appraisal index system of the county integrated competitiveness based on absorbing the theories of the country competence,the city competence and the county competence home and abroad. The comprehensive competitiveness index system which includes 2 levels,6 categories and 19 indices was created. The comprehensive competitiveness of Xinxiang have been evaluated by Factor Analysis and Cluster analysis. By analyzing the evaluation results above,it is concluded that the comprehensive competitiveness of Xinxiang are presented dividedly:Xinxiang constitute the most powerful group;Huixian belong to the second powerfulgroup;Weihui,Changyuan,Huojia belong to the third powerfulgroup; Yanjin,Yuanyang and Fengqiu form the least powerful group.
