During the new general land use planning, the rapid development of urbanization industrialization in China makes person ground contradiction more outstanding. The situation of agricultural land, especially cultivated land protection has been grimmer. The constriction between the land contradiction supply and requirement has been more severe.The task of coordination of land use has been more difficult. During emphasis the "overall consideration","ensure the red line","efficient use of land resources", Ecology protection become an important task of the third ground general land use planning. Optimize landscape pattern through land planning, construction the coral network of ecological barriers, improve the land resource sustainable development are supposed to be the most important task of the newly ground general land use planning.Three Gorges Reservoir area is a combination of central and western areas of China, is the economic tie between upper and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. It is also a thickly populated, backward, environment sensitive and fragile country. Unreasonable land use will have a serious impact to the Three Gorges reservoir area ecological environment. Yunyang County is in the hinterland of the Three Gorges Reservoir area, the land ecological environment is fragile, geologic hazards happens more frequent, is an important strategy area of ecological environment protection. Implement the concept of ecological priority through the land use planning is a positive response to the construction of Three Gorges Reservoir ecological barrier. This article take the Three Gorges Reservoir Area as the regional background, take the achievement of ecological security pattern into land use target, based on the analysis of the basic principles of landscape ecology, explore the approach of the optimization of landscape pattern.
