Research On Layout And Optimization Of Express Enterprises Network

With the rapid development of China's economy, express presents great vitality as an emerging industry. The tremendous demand for express delivery brings both opportunities and challenges to various express enterprises. Service network is regarded as the lifeblood of express enterprises. The number, the grade and the layout of service bases directly decide the operating model and quality of service, which is very important for express enterprises'development. Therefore, it has important theory and practice significances to research the layout and optimization of express enterprises network.The layout of service network is influenced by the demand of express market and the competition of express enterprises etc. This paper introduced the express market competition pattern in China, and made an analysis about the existing problems. Based on the past years'express quantity, the demand for express and growth trend of next five years is drawn by using forecast model. According to the features of express industry, this paper established an evaluation index system, and put forward the optimization solutions of the express service locations by the application of principal component analysis (PCA) and clustering methodology. On the grounds of express service locations, the whole express network was set up. Finally, an example was given to testify the feasibility of this method.
