With the continuous development of reforming and opening up, in order to survive and developing, the copper raw material businesses continuously carry out technical transformation, expand production capacity and extended product deep-processing industrial chain, and strive to improve value-added products in order to gain maximum benefits. International mining companies and copper processing enterprises continue to enter the domestic copper markets. As the importance of copper, nickel metal production businesses, JNMC groups as well as to their own development and constantly growing, since 2001, having been conducted a series of large-scale technical transformation. The group built opening deep-processing copper project from 2007 was one of the technological transformations.Good technical transformation projects are not only a strong impetus to technical progress, but also to nurture a large number of talents. Good technical transformation projects are the enterprise to maintain long-term competitive advantage, achieve steady and healthy development, and constantly explore the great driving force for greater value. The implementation of scientific management for technological transformation projects, not only ensure the technological transformation projects on time, according to the quality, quantity and the completion of the intended purpose, but also effectively control project construction costs.In this paper, the technical transformation projects of JNMC copper processing company was studied using modern project management principles and specific methods of. How to achieve effective management and control in the whole process of the project was discussed. In the technical transformation project start-up phase, The paper focus on the use of project feasibility research methods, mainly from the project's market, technology, cost and schedule to conduct a feasibility analysis. It is possible for the project to marketing, economy, technology, etc. It is necessary for JNMC companies to construction the project. In the project planning and design stage, the project according was broken down into sub-projects using work breakdown structure (WBS) and other technology. In order to achieve more efficient project management and control purposes, sub-projects then were broken down into smaller, more manageable units of work (or work packages). At the same time, the project was carefully planned and preliminary designed using the scientific methodology to prepare the specific implementation of the project. In the project implementation stage, the project was managed and controlled focusing from the project cost management, schedule management, quality management. Cost was controlled in cost management of project mainly from the project drawing design, equipment, materials procurement, project construction costs of visas. Project duration and project progress have been optimized and managed using network analysis and methods such as project milestone. Quality of project was managed through quality management system such as preparation of quality plan, implement quality control, quality assurance and quality improvement. In the phase-out period, the project was accepted and closed related according to the rules and procedures of company. The decision-making, management and implementation of project were analyzed and commented according to the actual effectiveness of the project, summed up experiences and lessons to give advice and make suggestions for after the completion of the project, at the same time, to provide a reliable basis for other new projects of the company.
